Informing a Forest Health Index and Bioclimatic Monitoring Network for the Roaring Fork Valley
This one day workshop was a collaboration between the Aspen Global Change Institute and For the Forest (now merged with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies) and was held at the North American Ecological Observation Network facility in Boulder, Colorado. This workshop convened experts in forest ecology and Earth system modeling to discuss the development of a watershed scale monitoring system to inform bioclimatic change over time and to consider the development of a forest health index for the Roaring Fork Valley — a high mountain valley in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
