Partnerships

The Aspen Global Change Institute is designed as a platform to nurture an international community of global change scientists and solution-seekers. We cannot do it alone, nor would we want to. There are many ways to partner with AGCI, from proposing or co-chairing a workshop to pursuing independent research as an affiliate to engaging AGCI as a fiscal sponsor to helping advance a new idea.

Partner with us on solutions-oriented research

AGCI partners on solutions-oriented research efforts in a variety of ways. We advise and conduct research for cities, water utilities, and federal agencies and we help mission-aligned organizations and networks conduct research. We also offer opportunities to high school and college students, post-graduate students and early professionals, academic researchers and science professionals, and lifelong learners. Check out the many ways you can partner with AGCI!

Propose an AGCI workshop

Do you have an idea for a future AGCI workshop to advance understanding and application of a pressing global change topic? We want to hear from you! AGCI invites workshop ideas on global change topics that are interdisciplinary in nature, and which can’t be achieved through existing forums. Our workshops are typically small, multi-day events that center inclusive and substantive dialogue. They can be virtual, hybrid, or in-person. Proposed topics should be cross-cutting in nature, spanning the boundaries of scientific disciplines or the divide between how research is produced and how it is used in practice. You may submit a workshop topic at any time—we review workshop topics with our Board of Advisors on an annual basis. For more information, contact AGCI’s Program Director Emily Jack-Scott.

Resilience and adaptation support for communities

The Mountain West Climate Services Partnership informs and supports communities preparing for climate change across the Mountain West. We do this by convening climate services providers across the region and building connections across communities with shared challenges. Whether you’re from a Mountain West community looking to get started or searching for more advanced support to prepare for climate change or a climate service provider working in the region, the Mountain West Climate Services Partnership offers ways to connect and resources to support your resilience and adaptation efforts.

Sponsored programs

Aspen Global Change Institute provides a platform to implement charitable initiatives that advance global change science and solutions. As a fiscal sponsor, AGCI helps individuals and organizations not yet affiliated with a 501(c)(3) organization receive and manage charitable contributions in support of activities closely aligned with AGCI’s goals and values. In addition, AGCI helps philanthropic individuals and organizations develop and implement grantmaking strategies that can benefit from AGCI’s network of expertise and administrative capacity.
