Tanya Petach
Environmental Science Researcher
Dr. Tanya Petach is an environmental science researcher at AGCI and works on data-driven decision making in watersheds. Much of her work focuses on streamlining responsible and useful transfer of data, information, and knowledge across researchers and practitioners in the Colorado River Basin. In her previous role as an AGCI Climate Science Fellow, she worked on projects spanning the human/climate interface.
Inspired by nature-based solutions, collaborative problem solving, and the complexities of the natural world, Tanya’s work focuses on data-driven solutions to climate stresses, with an emphasis on inclusivity. Prior to joining AGCI in 2022, Tanya worked collaboratively with teams of researchers investigating the human impacts of climate-driven hydrologic changes in arid regions. Her academic training includes hydrology, climate science, and STEM education.
