Kristin Corbett is a Senior Strategic Knowledge Translation Officer with the Policy & Evaluation Division at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Based in Ottawa, Canada, she has worked for IDRC since 2012. Previous positions include Knowledge Translation Officer with the Centre of Excellence for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Systems (jointly funded by IDRC and Global Affairs Canada) and Program Management Officer with IDRC’s Governance, Security and Justice Program. Kristin holds a Master’s degree in global studies from the universities of Vienna, Austria and Wrocław, Poland. She also holds a BA in International Development Studies and Political Science from the University of King’s College at Dalhousie University. Before joining IDRC, Kristin worked with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna and in Cairo on program and partnership development in the field of criminal justice reform. She spent three years working as part of a project management team implementing a prison reform initiative in South Sudan which included a focus on addressing the health needs of vulnerable groups in prison settings.
