Brian Beckage

I'm broadly interested in complex systems, particularly the mathematical and computational representation of coupled natural–human systems (CNHs). I'm currently focused on understanding how human cognition and social processes interact with environmental and epidemiological dynamics. I'm developing models of human behavior that can be linked with biological and biophysical models of natural systems, with the goal of better projecting and informing societal responses to global challenges such as climate change and infectious disease.
