Biography
Kate Calvin is an Earth scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Joint Global Change Research Institute in College Park, MD. Her research focuses on integrated human-Earth system modeling, including work on both the Global Change Analysis Model (GCAM), an integrated energy-water-land-climate model, and the Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM), an Earth system model. She received BS degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Maryland and MS and PhD degrees in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
