Martijn Pallandt

Martijn Pallandt is a scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physical Geography, Stockholm University, where he studies carbon cycle dynamics, Arctic ecosystems, and the impacts of climate change on high-latitude environments. His current research focuses on improving the monitoring and representation of greenhouse gas fluxes across the Arctic, including the optimization of observation networks, permafrost carbon cycling, and the use of atmospheric, satellite, and ecosystem measurements to better understand climate feedbacks.

Martijn earned his PhD in Earth System Science and Biogeochemistry through research conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Germany, where his work centered on Arctic greenhouse gas monitoring, carbon cycle feedbacks, and environmental observation networks.
