I am interested in how a warming Arctic is affecting the carbon cycle, with a focus on methane fluxes from permafrost thaw. Specifically, I study upland tundra to understand how these landscapes act as methane sources or sinks. My research investigates both the spatial and temporal variability of methane fluxes and the role of old permafrost carbon in contributing to methane emissions.
