Assistant Professor
Gerard Rocher-Ros is an Assistant Professor at Umeå University, where he leads his research lab within the Integrated Science Lab (IceLab) and the Department of Ecology, Environmental and Geoscience. His work focuses on ecosystem ecology, specifically examining how carbon cycling and energy movement shape landscapes amidst climate change. He utilizes a combination of observational, experimental, and modelling approaches to investigate aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Currently, he leads the ERC-funded ARIMETH project, which aims to provide a mechanistic understanding of Arctic river methane emissions.
