Anastasia Christman has been a Senior Policy Analyst with the National Employment Project (NELP) since 2011, supporting workers in industries as varied as banking, airport services, call centers, transportation services, and student athletics. She currently oversees NELP's Climate Justice work, which sits at the intersection of longstanding occupational segregation of Black and immigrant workers and the impacts of climate change on the workplace. Before coming to NELP, Ms. Christman worked for a decade for the Service Employees International Union as an organizer, researcher, and elected officer of a union local. She has a PhD in U.S. History from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a BA in Liberal Arts from Bard College.
