Dr. Real is a highly accomplished professional in the field of occupational health, holding a degree in Medicine from the University of Guadalajara (U. de G.) and a specialization in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, certified by the Mexican National Council. He also earned a Master's degree in Health Sciences, focusing on Clinical Research, from the Higher School of Medicine at the National Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, he is an Industrial Chemical Technician and has completed postgraduate studies as an International Expert in Toxicology at the Illustrious College of Chemists of Seville. Dr. Real holds diplomas in Clinical Research from the Autonomous University of Mexico, Toxicology from U. de G., and Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental Protection from U. de G. Furthermore, he is certified in Total Worker’s Health and Spirometry by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
In his professional career, Dr. Real has held significant roles, including Technical Coordinator in the Directorate of Economic and Social Benefits at IMSS, Coordinator of the Occupational Toxicology Laboratory, Industrial Hygiene Technician in the private sector, and Occupational Health Physician in clinical practice. Among his notable achievements are contributions to national strategies such as the Safe and Healthy Workplaces Program and the National Program for Toxicological and Environmental Surveillance. He also played a vital role in the COVID-19 vaccination strategy for the largest state in Mexico.
Currently, Dr. Real serves as the Head of the Toxicology and Environmental Health Unit at the Occupational Health Coordination of IMSS. He is also an Adjunct Professor for medical specialty courses at IMSS and for master's programs at the Engineering Faculty and the National Institute of Public Health. As an active contributor to the field, he has authored book chapters and scientific publications and has been a speaker at national and international forums. Additionally, Dr. Real is a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico, reflecting his dedication to advancing knowledge and research in occupational and environmental health
