Brenda Jacklitsch, PhD, MS is a research health scientist and leads the cross-institute Climate and Work Workgroup at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). She also serves as a representative on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Agency-wide Climate and Health Task Force. Dr. Jacklitsch is a heat stress subject matter expert and was the lead project officer for the NIOSH Criteria for a Recommended Standard: Occupational Exposure to Heat and Hot Environments, and manages the OSHA-NIOSH Heat Safety Tool App. She has a PhD in Health Education from the University of Cincinnati, and an MS in Epidemiology and a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
