Currently Acting Deputy Division Director for the Division of Biological Infrastructure (DBI) in the Directorate for Biological Sciences at the National Science Foundation.
Joined NSF in 2016 as a Program Director in the Division of Environmental Biology, worked with the Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases Program, the Predictive Intelligence for Pandemic Prevention Program, and the Biodiversity on a Changing Planet, among others.
Prior to joining the National Science Foundation, was a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at University at Buffalo (SUNY) and served as the Director of the Graduate Program in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior.
Was a research associate at University of Wyoming (bioinformatics and molecular biology) and a postdoctoral researcher (evolutionary biology, entomology) at Brigham Young University prior to becoming a faculty member.
