Stephanie O’Donnell joined Fauna & Flora in 2015 to establish and lead the WILDLABS Programme. Launched as a collaboration of four of the world’s leading conservation organizations, WILDLABS (www.wildlabs.net) is the first global, open online community dedicated to conservation technology. Over ten years, Stephanie has built an engaging space that connects a global network of 8,500+ conservation practitioners and tech experts, facilitating events and designing programmes to increase collaboration across domain boundaries, deliver research and capacity-building resources, and drive innovation in conservation technology. Stephanie leads a global team that builds collaborations between the conservation, technology, and academic sectors, consolidating efforts and delivering solutions to meet the breadth of the community’s needs. Stephanie has a Masters in Conservation Leadership from Cambridge University and BSc (Hons) from the University of Sydney. She is a technology advisor for World Bank Global Wildlife Programme, the BioacousticsAI and a collaborator in the AI and Biodiversity Change (ABC) Global Climate Centre. She was a Fellow with the AAAS Community Engagement Programme in 2017 and the Centre for Sustainability Leadership in 2011.
