Steven Masvaure

Steven Masvaure is a Senior Evaluation Technical Specialist at the University of the Witwatersrand. He holds a PhD in Development Studies. Steven possesses more than 15 years of working experience as a researcher and evaluator in the development sector across several African countries. He is an expert in strengthening country-led monitoring and evaluation systems in Anglophone Africa. His areas of interest include local government, climate change adaptation, food security, public employment programmes, social protection and monitoring and evaluation. He has also worked as an evaluator in several African countries and published research papers on food security transforming evaluation (Made in Africa Evaluation), Adaptive management of climate change and national evaluation systems.
