Asyirah Abdul Rahim
Asyirah was trained in planning and environmental technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and at present is an Associate Professor at Geography Section, School of Humanities, USM. Her research interests include urban ecology, ecosystem services assessment, circular economy and sustainable cities and communities. She is one of the mentors of Knowledge for Change (K4C)@USM Malaysia, working on building capacity in community based participatory research. She is currently the Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation & Industry-Community Engagement at School of Humanities, USM. She is also an Associate Fellow, RCE Penang on Education for Sustainable Development. Recently, she has been appointed as Board Member, Southeast Asia Ministry of Education Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability (SEAMEO SEPS).
