Wen-wen Tung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) at Purdue University. She received her Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from UCLA in 2002, then worked as a postdoc in the Advanced Study Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research before joining the faculty at Purdue in 2005. Wen-wen has three overarching themes in her career. They are a passion for Earth systems science, an eagerness to bring data science to the study of Earth systems, and the desire to broaden participation in these two disciplines.
