Sonja Murto

I graduated from Helsinki University with MSc in Meteorology in 2017 (and BCs in Geography in 2015) and started as a PhD student at Stockholm University in March 2018 studying Arctic extreme events and the atmospheric dynamics behind them. I worked at the Finnish Meteorological Institute between 2015-2018 with different tasks, such as as a forecast assistant, for the Ice service division and Polar research group, the latter led by Timo Vihma. Apart from this, I am an active lindy hop dancer and amateur dance-teacher in Stockholm (dancer since 2016 and teacher since 2020).
