Jia Li
Senior Economist
Jia is a Senior Economist with the World Bank Climate Change Group where her work focuses on adaptation and resilience evaluation, country long-term climate, and development strategies and engagement. Jia previously worked at USEPA on the economics, modeling, and integrated assessment of climate change impacts and responses at global, national, and sub-national levels. In recent years, she has worked extensively with the U.S. federal climate research community to better integrate human dimensions and social sciences in climate assessments, and advance interdisciplinary research to inform equitable climate responses and resilience decisions. Jia holds a Ph.D. in environmental economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.S. in environmental management and policy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
