Franz Sinabell

Franz Sinabell is an agricultural economist who studied at BOKU, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna where he obtained his doctoral degree. After graduating at BOKU he attended the Course in Economics at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Vienna. After one year he took a position as research assistant at the Department of Economics, Politics, and Law at BOKU where he worked until 2002. In that year he became research associate at WIFO, the Austrian Institute of Economic research where he continued his scientific career in the research area Environment, Agriculture and Energy. He attained the venia docendi from BOKU in 2014. During his career he has been involved in many national and international scientific projects, in many cases as the project coordinator. His scientific fields of interest are agricultural policy analysis, food economics and research in natural hazards.
