Roberto Sanchez-Rodriguez specializes in the environmental issues of North America, particularly those that arise along the U.S. borders with Mexico and Canada. He also works on development and water issues, focusing on transboundary policy and social impacts. He comes to UCSC from the Commission for Environmental Cooperation in Montreal, where he was the program manager for transboundary issues. Prior to that, he was director of the Department of Urban and Environmental Studies at the Colegio de la Frontera Norte in Tijuana, Mexico.
