Hugo Valin

Dr Hugo Valin is a research scholar at the Ecosystems Services and Management Program at IIASA (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis).His research topics are land use change at the global scale, with a particular emphasis on the impact of bioenergy, greenhouse gas emissions and impact from climate change. He is strongly involved in the development of applied economic models to investigate these issues and contributes to the development of the partial equilibrium model GLOBIOM and the computable general equilibrium model MIRAGE. He is also involved in several research networks around agricultural issues, such as AgMIP (www.agmip.org), and FoodSecure (www.foodsecure.eu) .
