Réal Daigle is a meteorologist with nearly 50 years of experience in operational meteorology and management of scientific programs. He has developed a specialty in applied research related to the impacts of climate change, sea-level rise and storm surges linked to coastal flooding in Atlantic Canada. He has prepared sea-level rise and coastal flooding scenarios for adaptation planning for the entire coastlines of New Brunswick, for many Atlantic Canada municipalities and for some First Nations in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He has provided tailored climate data, information, training, and expert support to help provincial, municipal, First Nations and community groups understand and apply climate information in their decision making throughout Atlantic Canada.
