I am an Individual Contractor for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR); and a Visiting Researcher at The University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Frontier Sciences under the Graduate Program in Sustainability Science-Global Leadership Initiative (GPSS-GLI). I completed a Doctor in Sustainability Science from The University to Tokyo in March 2021. I am a national of Samoa and New Zealand; and has spent most of my more than 20 years of a professional career in the Pacific region, mainly in development. My areas of research interests (which focuses on the Asia and Pacific region) include adaptation science, sustainable development, resilience, disaster risk reduction, marine ecosystems, gender, and indigenous studies.
