Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems

My present research interests include the global carbon cycle, in particular the forest biomass/carbon dynamics, land use and land cover change, forest structure and regeneration, and impacts of climate change and variability such as droughts on global forest function and resilience. Currently, I am working with a team of interdisciplinary researchers to integrate bottom-up and top-down observations into ecosystem and data assimilation models to balance the global carbon budget and to better quantify different sources and sinks of carbon regionally.
