Biography
Sara Meerow is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE). Her research focuses on the theory and practice of planning more resilient cities in the face of climate change and other hazards. In her dissertation, Sara examines different conceptualizations of urban resilience and the political and scalar dimensions of planning green infrastructure to foster resilience in a range of cities including Manila (Philippines), New York City, Los Angeles, and Detroit. Sara has a bachelor’s in political science and history from the University of Florida and a master’s in international development studies from the University of Amsterdam.
