"William Hynes is a Chartered Town Planner, a Chartered Surveyor and economist, and a founder and director of Future Analytics Consulting Ltd.
Through his work as a consultant in strategic planning and transportation William has developed, and is continuing to research and develop new innovative and integrated approaches to these subject areas. In particular, he is developing a comprehensive thematic approach and methodology for strategic spatial planning at all levels through a linking process of land use, transportation and economic planning (with geographical information systems (GIS) being of central importance) that is transparent, integrated, dynamic, comprehensive and defensible.
William is a member of the Central Statistics Office (CSO) Expert Group on national and regional population projections.
William is a visiting lecturer in the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy, University College Dublin, lecturing in the areas of land use and transportation planning, strategic spatial planning, infrastructure planning, demographic analysis and GIS.
William was also an Irish Nominee to the European Union (EU) 7th Research and Development Framework (2007-2013) under the Thematic Area of Security and Mass Transportation."
