Kassahun Melesse is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Davis. He has accepted an assistant professor position in the Department of Applied Economics at Oregon State University and will join the faculty in Fall 2015. His research employs economic theory, advanced statistical and numerical methods to analyze development problems aimed at informing public policy to raise standard of living and reduce global poverty.
