William D. Solecki

William D. Solecki is an Associate Professor at Montclair State University in the Department of Earth and Environmental Studies. He has degrees in Geography from Columbia University and Rutgers University. Dr. Solecki's research focuses on the human dimensions of global environmental change, land use and land cover change, and environmental risks and hazards. Dr. Solecki is currently co-leading the Metropolitan East Coast Region for the U.S. National Assessment of Climate Variability and Change. He is a panel member on the Committee on Population and Land Use of the National Research Council. He also is the Chair of the Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers.
