| Timothy works in the Seasonal Forecast section at ECMWF, where a small and talented team look after the ocean analysis and monthly and seasonal forecasting. His particular responsibilities include the coupled atmosphere-ocean model, the ECMWF seasonal forecasting system, and the operational EUROSIP multi-model seasonal forecast system. He is also co-chair of the CLIVAR Working Group on Seasonal-Interannual Prediction (WGSIP). WGSIP have been asked to work together with WGCM on the decadal prediction problem, and Timothy has led a group of scientists in writing a proposal which puts climate predictions to 2030 in a common framework with experiments on decadal prediction. |
